How Nedeen Discovered Strength and Confidence Through Personal Training
At ROAR Fitness London, our specialist personal trainers design evidence-based strength training for women and results-driven body transformation programmes at Roar Kensington and Roar London City. Our approach goes beyond short-term weight loss or purely aesthetic goals. We work with women seeking intelligent training that delivers measurable improvements in strength, body composition, hormonal health, and long-term performance.
Many women come to us ready for more than surface-level change. Through expertly structured personal training, they develop physical resilience, confidence, and sustainable results that support both mental and physiological wellbeing — redefining what true transformation looks like.
Nedeen’s Journey
At Roar Fitness, we have long championed resistance training as a cornerstone of women’s health — not simply for aesthetics, but for building physical strength, optimizing body composition, supporting hormonal health, and enhancing long-term mental resilience. Strategic strength training for women plays a critical role in fat loss, metabolic efficiency, bone density, and nervous system regulation, empowering women to feel capable, confident, and in control of their health.
This month, we’re spotlighting Nedeen, who initially came to Roar with a straightforward goal: to look and feel better in her body. What she quickly discovered was that structured strength training delivered far more than visible changes. Through progressive resistance training, Nedeen experienced improvements in energy levels, body composition, mindset, and overall wellbeing — reshaping not just how she trained, but how she viewed her health.
We sat down with Nedeen to discuss her journey, how her understanding of strength evolved, and why she now advocates strength training as an essential tool for women seeking sustainable fat loss, hormonal balance, and mental clarity.
Q: Nedeen, what inspired you to start with a personal trainer at Roar?
Nedeen:
To be honest, I had the same misconception a lot of women have – that strength training is mainly for men. I thought I’d bulk up or look too muscular after a few sessions. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Seeing that the founder of Roar is a woman really inspired me. It reminded me that strength training is just as powerful and beneficial for women.
Q: What was your main goal when you first joined?
Nedeen:
At first, it was purely about physical appearance. I wanted to look and feel fitter. But as I continued training, I realised it was about so much more. I started to understand my body better, and I noticed changes in my energy, my mood, and how I approached food and wellness.
Q: How has your mindset changed since starting personal training at Roar Fitness?
Nedeen:
Completely. Strength training has made me feel more confident and capable. It’s helped me see that looking strong and feeling strong are connected. I’ve learned that this type of training supports women’s health in every way – from energy and metabolism to confidence and self-image.
Q: What would you say to other women who might be hesitant to start?
Nedeen:
Please don’t give up and don’t be afraid to start. It can be hard in the beginning, but it’s so worth it. You’ll start noticing changes even after the first couple of weeks, and once you do, it becomes exciting…you actually look forward to training. Strength training isn’t just about how you look. It’s about how you feel. Strong, capable, and in control.
