“For me, the hardest bit was walking in. My husband will tell you, I did not want to be here that day. That was the hardest part. I just thought, there’s no way, I can’t do this. I felt miserable and negative. I kept thinking, I’m too old, I’m 60, I’ve gone through menopause… can I really do personal training at this age?

Q: What kind of changes have you seen, physically and mentally?

Teresa:

“Physically, I feel stronger. My posture has improved, I move better, and I’ve got energy again. But mentally, that’s where the biggest shift has been. I’ve gone from thinking I can’t to knowing I can. After menopause, your confidence can really dip, and I think having expert-led personal training at ROAR helped me rebuild that in such a positive way.”

Q: What would you say to other women who are going through menopause or are thinking they’re “too old” to start?

Teresa:

“I’d say – you’ve got to do it. Personal training after menopause is the best thing you can do for yourself. Be kind to yourself, and give it a chance. I feel like a completely different person now. It’s not about being 20 again – it’s about being the strongest, happiest version of yourself right now.”
