Coming in December

Explore Our Recovery Therapies

Discover what each therapy offers, the science behind it and how it can fit into your approach to recovery and wellbeing.

  1. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Explore oxygen delivery as part of your recovery and wellness routine. Oxygen is essential to cellular energy production and normal tissue repair. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy combines oxygen delivery with increased atmospheric pressure, allowing more oxygen to dissolve in blood plasma, supplementing the oxygen carried by red blood cells. ROAR’s One Hype Wellness chamber will provide a dedicated setting for these pressure-assisted oxygen sessions. HBOT will be booked and paid for separately, with preferential rates according to your recovery membership tier.

  2. Red-Light Therapy

Bring light-based technology into your wellbeing routine with a whole-body session in ROAR’s REDARA AraPro M4 bed. Red and near-infrared wavelengths interact with light-sensitive components within cells, including those involved in mitochondrial energy production and cellular signalling. Known as photobiomodulation, this process is the scientific basis of red-light therapy. Each non-invasive session will give you time to recline and switch off while receiving whole-body light exposure.

  3. Infrared Sauna

Recover from exercise, support circulation and make time for relaxation. ROAR’s Sunlighten Amplify sauna will use near-, mid- and far-infrared wavelengths to deliver energy directly to the body. This raises tissue temperature and stimulates a circulatory response, while sessions may help ease post-exercise muscle soreness. Whether your priority is recovery between workouts or unwinding from a demanding week, infrared sauna gives your physical and mental wellbeing dedicated attention.

  4. Compression Therapy

Give your legs focused recovery after demanding training. Normatec compression boots use sequential air pressure, inflating and releasing in a controlled pattern to support circulation and fluid movement. This massage-like treatment may help reduce perceived muscle soreness following strength or conditioning sessions. Include it between workouts when you want dedicated attention to the muscles carrying your training load.

Your Recovery Membership

Memberships will be offered in tiers, with session allowances for infrared sauna, red-light therapy and compression, and preferential rates on hyperbaric oxygen. Join on its own, or add a membership to your ROAR personal training programme.

If you already train with us, recovery is part of your programme. Your personal trainer plans training load around your sleep, stress and schedule, because training provides the stimulus and recovery is when your body adapts. From December, the new therapies build on that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Membership tiers provide access to infrared sauna, red-light therapy and Normatec compression, with session allowances depending on your chosen level. Each tier also provides preferential rates on separately booked hyperbaric oxygen sessions.

Yes. Our standalone memberships give you access to recovery therapies without a personal training commitment. Choose your tier according to the sessions you want to include in your routine.

Yes. You can choose a recovery membership alongside any ROAR personal training programme from the outset. This gives training and recovery their own place in your schedule, with access to therapies that complement your work in the gym.

Infrared sauna may help ease post-exercise muscle soreness, while Normatec compression can help reduce perceived soreness after demanding training. They complement the sleep, nutrition and rest your body needs to recover and adapt between workouts.

No. Relaxation, circulation and an interest in healthy ageing are also reasons to explore the therapies. You can visit specifically for your wellbeing, without exercise or personal training forming part of your membership.

Red-light therapy uses red and near-infrared wavelengths for photobiomodulation, interacting with cellular processes involved in energy production and signalling. Infrared sauna uses infrared energy to warm body tissues and stimulate circulation, supporting relaxation and potentially easing post-exercise soreness. The therapies have different mechanisms and purposes.

Biohacking includes using technology to influence physiological processes. At ROAR, you will be able to explore pressure-assisted oxygen delivery, photobiomodulation, full-spectrum infrared and pneumatic compression, with clear explanations to help you choose what belongs in your wellness routine.

HBOT will be booked and paid for separately. Your recovery membership tier will determine the preferential rate available to you.

This depends on your chosen therapies, suitability and the relevant session guidance. Your membership tier sets out the allowances available, so you can plan regular visits around your priorities and schedule.

Complete the relevant health questionnaire and review the precautions for your chosen therapy. If a health condition or medication could affect suitability, obtain advice from your own healthcare professional before booking. ROAR does not provide medical consultations.
